We have not been very good at updating this blog, there are not really any reasons or excuses just focusing on family life! Please remember November 1st, 2012! Why? Because that is the day two things are “due” firstly and foremost our new baby daughter is due! Secondly we are believing for that to be the day we are fully supported! At that point we can begin all the final paperwork for our visas, moving logistics, and plans to make the big move. We have a long way to go to be fully supported, but we truly believe God is behind an acceleration to get us to Poland. So as someone who is already committed to supporting us please keep us in your prayers and pray for people to hear God’s heart for Poland and be moved to support us. We anticipate our actual departure from the States will be in June 2013. At any time if you feel lead to join our support team (we need people to be supporting now, not when we leave, otherwise we’ll not have the funds to leave) click the “Donate Now” button on the right.
In the months of May and June eight new donors joined our support team, adding nearly $500 a month! This is very exciting and represents our largest single monthly increase since we began support raising in late 2010. As we continue to speak with our Polish contacts and friends there is an ever increasing excitement about our eventual arrival and the next phase of our ministry amongst the Polish! Please partner and contend with us in prayer for Poland, and the people He has already placed in our circle of friends.
So what have we been up to? Well, thanks to Travis’ frequent flyer miles due to work related travel we were presented with the opportunity to join the rest of our Foursquare Church family at our annual convention, and this year it was hosted in Phoenix, Arizona. It was a wonderful time of worship, teaching, learning, and connecting (in fact Foursquare does not call it a convention, rather it is called “Connection”). After the connection time we visited with a long term supporter of ours just north of the Phoenix area, he and his parents hosted us for two wonderful days of exploring northern Arizona, including flagstaff and the Grand Canyon (see pictures here). After our time in Arizona we headed down to Austin, TX to visit Alexis’ family and Travis’ brother, this was a great 10 days of family fun and lots of sun!
We pray and contend for our support team on a regular basis, we pray that you find peace and hope in the midst of ever changing circumstances. May you be encouraged by our story as much as we are encouraged by your generosity and obedience to the Lord. As Paul says in Romans 1:12 “When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.” Blessings, grace, peace, and love on you and your family!
